The PADI Master Instructor rating is awarded to experienced dive instructors. Master Instructors have demonstrated a thorough understanding of the PADI system of diver education and are members of the Master Instructor Review Committee, which is called upon from time to time to review changes and standards.

At the Utila Dive Centre we run a Master Instructor/Course Director preparatory program (spaces permitting) that will help you obtain the experience you need to achieve this rating by auditing and assisting on our PADI IDCs and possibly issuing specialty certifications. The Master Instructor rating is a prerequisite for those dive professionals wishing to become PADI Course Directors.

In order to determine how we can best assist you, please write to us  at gopro@utiladivecenter.com and tell us your current certification level, a breakdown of your certifications issued/students taught, if you have staffed any IDCs, and how much time you have available.

We can customize a training program that will allow you to intern in our facility and achieve your Master Instructor rating and prepare your application for the Course Director Training Course.
