Course Time: 12 days + 2 day exam
Prerequisites: +18 years old, certified Divemaster, at least 60 logged dives including night, deep, and navigation, and certified diver for at least 6 months.

Our Facilities
Utila Dive Center is the most advanced professional PADI Career Development Center in the Caribbean with a dedicated nitrox and trimix gas blending facility, offering technical and rebreather training, and we’re the only authorised ScubaPro Technician training center in the Caribbean/Central America. As well as offering the full range of PADI courses, we can also offer courses with the ‘Divers Alert Network’, ‘International Yacht Training’ and Adaptive/Disabled Diver courses. We have a dedicated marina location and a fleet of 5 boats which allows our IDC course their own personal boat as well as an increased amount of opportunity to go fun-diving when you can prior to the IDC, and each boat is spacious and fully stocked with all you could possibly need while diving. We have large equipment rooms where you can store all your diving gear safely and personal lockers. If you’re also in need of a particular piece of equipment, we manage a large inventory of scuba gear that is sure to fit whatever you may need as well as having a full-time technician available to assist you in the maintenance and repair of your own equipment. The classrooms and conference rooms at UDC and the Mango Inn are spacious and modern, have A/C and are fully stocked with a reference library and wireless internet access to make your scuba Instructor course comfortable and productive. Our presentations are given on widescreen TVs and an LCD projector display with tablets and the latest in PADI digital products. Outside the classroom you are surrounded by luscious gardens with accommodation, freshwater training pool, and restaurant a few steps away. The tranquil gardens of the Mango Inn are the perfect location in this tropical paradise for a low stress learning environment, and you are no more than a 10 minute walk from where you may be staying whilst on Utila.
