Your Course Directors and IDC staff for Divemaster and Instructor training at Utila Dive Centre

Our Course Directors and IDC Staff instructors have received recognition from PADI for their teaching efforts and numerous 'certificates of excellence' which you'll see immediately once you walk into our dive center on display, and between them have to date issued over 5000 PADI certifications and in the last 9 years have conducted over 80 PADI 'Instructor Development Courses' and certified over 600 'Open Water Scuba Instructors' including numerous 'Specialty Instructors', 'IDC Staff Instructors' and 'DSAT Technical Instructors'. Our IDC's are conducted completely by our 2 in house Course Directors with language support and1-on-1 remedial tuition from our IDC Staff Instructors.

Our Divemaster training team is trained beyond the minimum PADI Instructor rating, and each of the Instructors that train our Divemasters holds the rating of at least PADI IDC Staff Instructor.  We conduct PADI Divemaster training all year round and train better quality, more experienced and more 'in demand' Divemasters than any other facility in the region, all for the same price as your average facility in Central America or throughout the Caribbean.

Our staff have all dived and worked in different environments world wide and have specialized qualifications and diving interests, both in and out of the water.  Our experience is 'second to none' and we have issued more certifications as a team, than any other in the area, as a result of our small groups sizes and dedictaed personalized instruction, and provide ongoing support. 

All this gives us a unique advantage in making our professional training much more real world rather than bore you with too much traditional academics and allows you to draw and learn from years of diverse teaching experience. Our Course Directors and IDC Staff assistants are also qualified to teach both recreational and technical diving up to 'Trimix Instructor' and can also marine science training with programs from 'Beautiful Oceans', (no other Course Director or IDC Staff Instructor in Honduras can offer this and no other facility in Central America can offer you 2 full time resident Platinum Course Directors/Science Instructor Trainers committed to your success, personal attention and development!!!) and the full range of 'Divers Alert Network' programs.

In addition to having your IDC run by 2 experienced PADI Course Directors, Andy Phillips and Angel Navarro, there will also be IDC Staff assistants, who can also teach in French/German/Hebrew/English/Spanish, working with you for closer supervision and attention. When our staff, aren't working on IDC's they are instructing beginners or diving on Utilas reefs, both shallow and deep technical dives, working on community projects, promoting diver safety or simply enjoying the quality, beauty and tranquility of the Caribbean lifestyle. If our dive professionals were told they weren't too be paid for their work they would still place as much commitment and time into making you the best Instructor possible,
